Alexandra-Maria-Lara

Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is the Romanian actress and television presenter. She's best known as the lead in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. She was the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareu, Alexandra started her showbiz career from a young age. At the age of 16, she reached the age of sixteen, she had secured leading roles in several shows on television. Following her critically-acclaimed character in the TV movie Der Tunnel, Alexandra went on to play other noteworthy parts, including Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudljunge as well as the secretary of Adolf Hitler in Downfall. The film was nominated for an Oscar and was a critical as well as commercial great success. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex and The Reader are also Oscar-nominated movies featuring this actress. Over the years Alexandra was involved in numerous notable international and national projects. These projects include the British Biographical Film Control Greek Drama film The Dust of Time French Historical Miniseries Napoleon and many others. Her other roles include being juror at two festivals: the Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
