Maggie Grace, born Margaret Grace Denig on 21 September of 1983 in Worthington, Ohio, USA is an American actress. She is best known for playing Shannon Rutherford and Kim Mills as well in ABC's Lost television series. Maggie Grace, originally from Worthington located in Ohio left high school and moved into Los Angeles after her divorced parents divorced. It was a struggle to survive at the time she landed her first role in acting as Rachel's Room's leading character. Following her win of an Young Artist Award in 2002 due to her role as Murder on the streets of Greenwich of a 15-year aged Martha Moxley as a murder victim, she went on to win. Grace Rutherford, the character she played in Lost from 2004 to 2005 was selected for an Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace left the show to concentrate on her acting career. The actress had been on the show with Tom Welling opposite in The Fog in 2005. She starred in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club in both 2007 as well as Taken (2008) opposite Liam Neeson. She played the same role in Taken 2 and Taken 3 (both in 2012). Grace performed the role of Shannon again in Lost's finale and in two additional episodes. The year was 2013, and she was a guest in the sixth episode of Californication. As a member of the Gyllenhaal family, she is the daughter of filmmakers Stephen Gyllenhaal and Naomi Achs and is the younger cousin of the actor Jake Gyllenhaal. In her early teens, she played small parts in her father's movies and she co-starred alongside her brother in Donnie Darko, a famous cult film. Her subsequent roles included Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, both 2002 and Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal's lead roles in Secretary, a romantic comedy-drama erotico, as well as Sherrybaby (a drama) earned her nominations for Golden Globe Awards. She also received the Academy Award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay.
